Tips for Healthy Lens Care
To clean your lenses, use a recommended lens solution. Gently but thoroughly rub the lenses with your fingertip, then rinse and store them in a clean case. Avoid using water or saliva.
Your lenses should be replaced according to the schedule advised by your eye care professional. Daily lenses need replacing each day, while monthly lenses should be discarded after 30 days of use.
Sleeping in contact lenses can lead to complications. It’s best to remove your lenses before sleeping unless they’re specifically designed for overnight wear. Always consult your optometrist.
If your lenses feel uncomfortable, remove them immediately. Check for any debris or dryness and consider using rewetting drops. Avoid wearing them again until after you have consulted your licensed optometrist/ophthalmologist.
Swimming with contact lenses is not recommended, as water can introduce bacteria. It’s safest to wear goggles or prescription swimming glasses instead to protect your eyes.
