1833 - Our Beginning
Since the 1720s, we have been operating in the same location in Pune as watchmakers and jewellery-makers. In 1833, however, Dinshawji Bharucha cemented our place in history as an optical shop, with the name "A. Dinshaw & Co." coined by his son, Ardeshar Dinshaw. By the late 1800s, we had established a reputation and trust for handcrafted lenses and spectacle frames.
1900s - Expanding Services, Cementing our Reputation
Even in the early 1900s, we embraced pioneering advancements in eyecare technology, focusing on personalised treatments and on upgrading our facilities to match global standards.
2000s - A New Era
Embracing innovation, we began offering state-of-the-art ophthalmic services while maintaining our core values of care and service. Machines and facilities began routinely being upgraded -- a practice we continue today, upgrading our machines every 5 years.

Under the leadership of Mr. Boman Bharucha, ADC has grown into a centre known equally for its warmth and skill. Today, his sons Rushad and Yazad bring fresh vision and contemporary innovation while preserving nearly two centuries of tradition. Their stewardship marks a new chapter — one that bridges time-honoured expertise with modern expectations of design, comfort, and quality.
